EMR Initial (Formerly First Responder)

Full in person; 40-48hrs in person; $301 – $1101

Hybrid: All coursework and assessments taken online at your own pace. Coursework is completed before the in-person training.
Full in Person: All coursework, assessments, and hands-on training occurs in person.
This class is for anyone. If you are a law enforcement student in need of an EMR class to take your POST exam, ski patrol gearing up for the season, looking for a job change, or just looking to take the next step above basic CPR/First Aid. This is the standard MN State (EMSRB) class.
EMR Refresher (Formerly First Responder)
In Person; 18hrs in person; Free – $251
(Cost includes required BLS CPR)
In Person: Join us for a weekend (or weekday if the group chooses) for a recap on equipment and new information specific to your needs. No online work required and you still fall into refresher if you have expired within the year.
This class is for anyone. If you are in Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS, Ski or Bike Patrol, looking for a job change, or just looking to take the next step above basic CPR/First Aid. This is the standard MN State (EMSRB) class.
Notes Specific to Police/Fire
Police-
- EMR courses are tailored to the individuals in the group allowing for a mixed background of students
- EMR courses are POST approved for credits
- EMR is required to take your POST test. Most of us had plenty of credits, don’t pay college cost for credits you don’t need
Fire-
- EMR courses are tailored to the individuals in the group allowing for a mixed background of students
- EMR courses can be taken in conjunction with other fire certifications
- Courses can be submitted for reimbursement as courses are instructed by a Qualified Fire Instructor
